How often should a business do a full physical count?
Best practice is a wall-to-wall physical count at least once a year, plus regular cycle counts for high-turnover or high-shrink items.
Does the business have to close for a count?
Counting while closed is the most accurate, because nothing moves. If you can't close, count section by section and freeze movement in each area while it's being counted.
Can you help with an audit or ownership change?
